I thought it was funny when I saw the movie "Price Caspian" that in the middle of the big sword fight between High King Peter and the bad guy, what's-his-name, they agreed to a respite. Of all the action movies I've ever seen, I've never seen one where in the middle of the huge chase or fight scene, one guy says to the other, "Boy, I'm really getting winded here. How about we take a break for just a couple of minutes? Let me put my feet up and drink some Gatorade and I'll be good to go in a no time."
"Sure, no problem. I was feeling like I needed a break myself. Let me know when you're ready and we'll resume trying to kill each other."
Seems awfully strange to me and I laughed out loud in the theater. But now I think the idea of a respite sounds pretty good. I've been trying to get to my computer to post this since the end of January. Married to the Pastor is going to take a small break for the month of February. I'm working on changing my blog design a little bit and preparing some new posts.
If you're signed up to receive Married To The Pastor via email, you'll know when I come back online. If you haven't....you should! The link is near the top of the page on the right-hand side. If not, check back in early March to see what's going on.
Happy respite and I'll see you soon!
